The cards illustrate the step by step process of four classic whiskey based cocktails; Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Mint Julep and Whiskey Sour. Each step has a pair of hands making the drink with a description.
For each suite, the process is carried out across cards 2-10, with the ace showing the end result. Jack is a faceless bartender serving the cocktail, while the king and queen share the drinks.
Lastly, a line-art style in black and white was chosen to draw more attention to the fully colored ingredients and drinks being made.

The brief required to redesign the suits of French playing cards, and gave the freedom to adapt any concept. With my fascination for cocktails, I wanted to partake it in a sober manner and illustrate the process required in the curation of them, specifically those that had ten steps to prepare.
